We were one of the first to buy a flat here. I was attracted by the opportunity to live in nature, but also in relative proximity to the city. We have two small children. My wife did not stay on maternity leave for a long time, she returned to the bank as soon as she had an opportunity. I had to move her mother from St. Petersburg to us so that she could help with her grandchildren.
We rented a one-room apartment for her in the next building, but she still spends most of her time with us. Of course, she is delighted – there is fresh air here, useful both for children and for her in her age, tranquillity, the beach and the bay. She used to complain about her health, and now she's even taken up yoga! Classes are conducted by the same residents as us. They gather in the morning or in the evening, classes are held on the roof of our building with a view of the bay. Yes, it's great that you can climb up to the roof here – sunbathe on a sun lounger or just admire the views. And with our stunning sea sunsets, every evening is romantic.
My wife and I decided that we should move my mother here for good. Especially since we presented her with an annual membership in the Neighbourhood Centre. She enjoys spending time there alone or with children, takes part in master classes in cooking and gardening. However, she does not want to live in rented apartments all the time, she says that everything there is someone else’s and not arranged the way she’d like to. The owners do not plan to sell the flat, they rent and pay the mortgage. Moving to us is also not an option – adult children should live separately from their parents.
There are practically no ads for sale in our complex. It's stupid to part with such an asset. Therefore, it was very lucky that our desire to expand coincided with the start of the construction of two buildings. We have already looked at some excellent options, and we would have come to this sooner or later anyway. The children are growing up, everyone will need their own room soon. Therefore, we will move to a new apartment, a bigger one, and mum will live in ours. She’ll have her own bedroom, and the nursery will also remain.
“Mir vnutri” is a place from which you wouldn’t want to leave even for a while. It's like a separate world, where it's always beautiful and safe, where you don't have to look out into the yard every minute to make sure that everything is okay with your children, where the morning starts with coffee from the cafe next door and ends with dinner in a cosy family restaurant, where you can see the forest from the windows, instead of parked cars. Everything our family could need is here. And even more.
