Ever since childhood I had a dream – I wanted to be a teacher. No, not in school. I imagined myself as a teacher of some kind of hobby group, for example, like robotics or wood burning. In my dreams I was the best, the students loved me for my intelligence and talent. Now, of course, it's funny when I remember about it!
When we opened the Neighbourhood Centre, I felt like the same 12-year-old boy with his noble dream waking up in me. My students, however, are not children, but adults. I don’t teach them the basics of programming, but financial literacy, and I'm still happy! I am currently thinking about creating a course for children. I believe that the younger generation needs to be educated in a new way, as it will be useful for them in their adult life.
I got to know so many neighbours. It's strange that, although I'm a sociable and optimistic person, I haven't been in particularly active contact with them up to this point. After all, the Neighbourhood Centre is a great platform for a successful start for people like me. This is an opportunity to discover something new in myself, grow, develop, and match our “Svetliy mir”!
