“Svetliy mir “Stantsiya “L”…”

To have a walk-in-closet, is always a good idea. Here, you can store clothes, shoes, and household textiles. Allocate separate shelves for bed linen, and you won’t have to look for a place for it in the bedroom.

In the flats of the second stage of the RC “Svetly mir “Stantsiya “L”...” in the south-east of Moscow in the Luyblino district, there are walk-in-closets from 1.5 to 5 m2.

We tell about a few secrets that will help you keep your walk-in-closet in order and use the space to the maximum.

How to zone the walk-in-closet

To save space, install two levels of hangers and pull-out crossbars, small built-in drawers for socks and other small things.

Also remember that there are active and passive storage zones:

— active zone is designed for frequently used clothing items. Laundry baskets and drawers are installed at a distance of 50-130 cm above the floor surface.
— passive zone is for less frequently used things. Suitcases, seasonal items, household supplies are stored here. To make this, install shelves below 0.5 m or above 2 m of the active zone level.

How to sort clothes

Hang clothes by objects and colours. For example, place all seasonal dresses from the lightest shade to the darkest next to each other, while hanging the things that you wear most often in an accessible place.

How to save space

Do not hang bulky things: firstly, they can stretch; secondly, when folded, they take up less space. Roll up T-shirts and scarves and put them in a drawer: it's easier to understand what's in it.

How to prepare for the change of season

The change of seasons is a serious reason to review the contents of the walk-in-closet. Put summer clothes in suitcases or boxes and place them upstairs to free up shelves for more suitable clothes.
