Creative meeting with Kendel illustrators

The Neighbourhood centre of the quarter “Svetliy mir “Ya-Romantik ...“ invited the authors of the magic book “Look: it’s Baikal!” – a bestseller released by the popular children's publishing house "Samokat".

On Friday, May 12, sisters Anya and Varya Kendel will come to meet with their readers. Illustrators of the book work in the technique of watercolour drawing. They described their journey through the wonderful world of Baikal in the book “Look: it’s Baikal!”.

On the eve of the meeting, the team of the Neighbourhood centre organised a competition of drawings of water landscapes for children and adults. The winners will be invited to a meeting with artists.

Anya and Varya illustrate children's books, poetry collections, and magazines. The girls really like to discover wonderful new places and share their impressions of the trips. At the meeting, the sisters will demonstrate watercolour sketches that were created in nature and tell stories that were not included in the book.

Creative meetings are a new format of family events in the Neighbourhood centre. Adults and children get acquainted with the creators of their favourite works and learn more about the intricacies of unusual creative professions.
