Chess tournament in the quarter “Svetliy mir “Ya-Romantik...”

A great event awaits all fans of the intellectual game! The autumn chess tournament will be held on Friday.

For several years, meetings of the chess club have been held in the Neighbourhood centre of the quarter, the inspirer and teacher of which is Irina Martynova. She is the Russian chess champion among girls and women of the Spartak Society. Irina has more than 10 years of teaching experience, and she conducts lessons according to her author's program.

Tournaments have become a good tradition of the chess community of the quarter. All fans of the game are invited to participate. The tournament will start at 6:00 p.m.

Chess is useful for the development of cognitive abilities and imaginative thinking; it trains perseverance and stress resistance. Getting acquainted with the game is advised from the age of 4. On Wednesdays and Fridays, regular classes for children of three age groups are held at the Neighbourhood centre. A small number of students allows the teacher to pay attention to everyone.
