Meeting a resident: Polina Blinova on her eco-habits

Recently, in Instagram stories, we asked residents of the Svetliy Mir neighbourhoods to tell us about their habits, thanks to which they manage to lead an eco-friendly lifestyle.

Today we want to share with you a story that was sent to us by a resident of one of our complexes, Polina Blinova.

"I live in the “Svetliy mir “Ya-Romantik…” quarter for the third year now. I notice how the local infrastructure is developing more and more, especially in terms of environmental friendliness!

I like that we have sorting of plastic and glass waste. This is really a great opportunity that I try to use regularly!

In the "Svetloe cafe" they opened collection of batteries, where you can bring used batteries. There you can also hand over lids from plastic bottles. After collection all this is sent for recycling.

There are also vending machines with water on the territory of the entire residential complex, where you can come with your own five-litre bottle. This is not only more economical, but also environmentally friendly — you don't have to constantly buy new plastic packaging. You can use one container several times!

I recommend that everyone implement "eco-friendly amenities" in their daily lives, because such an initiative is not developed everywhere. And we could be part of protecting our planet and the environment."

When designing neighbourhoods, we strive to create conditions where everyone's life will be not only comfortable, but also eco-friendly. Therefore, a big emphasis in infrastructure is placed on separate garbage collection and eco-initiatives.
